THE PÁLINKA FESTIVAL OF BUDAPEST
IS BACK IN DOWNTOWN
- We celebrate the year of the sour cherry at Erzsébet Square, 16-19 May -
2013 is the year of the sour cherry at the Pálinka Festival of Budapest, so pálinkas and other delicacies made of this fine hungarian fruit will play the starring role between May 16 and 19. Once again in the downtown at Erzsébet Square we will open the spring with over 400 spirits, 25 exhibitors and the Pálinka of the Year.
A great success of previous years, Pálinka of the Year (a blend of the finest pálinkas of the country) will be available for tasting at the Pálinka Festival of Budapest for the first time.
As a continuing tradition, following plum and apricot, this year sour cherrie plays the leading role at the festival. This stone fruit is a truly unique hungarian fruit. Several cultivars were only cultivated in Hungary such as the Fürtös and Cigány sour cherries.
Different spirits made of these fine fruits will be available for tasting at Erzsébet Square, 16-19 May, as well as the sour cherry Pálinka of the Year. This blend of the best sour cherry pálinkas of Hungary comes in a special, limited edition packaging. |
